Standards, Metrology, Testing And Quality Assessment Forum Nepal

 In line with its objectives and functions, subject to the availability of resources  SMTQ Forum Nepal is initiating  following programs activities in the near future:

• Establish a working documentation unit for- important documentations like product standards of different countries  for major products of interest , test methods, guidelines, source of reference materials,  test fees, list of accredited laboratories ( national, regional and international) etc. and act as Information source for the availability of Reference samples/materials; proficiency testing programs; test methods, etc)
• Periodic meeting of laboratory incharges- for their need assessments, information sharings,  and planning for future arrangements
• Facilitative roles in Secondary calibrations and Test Method harmonisations for major products like water, edible oils etc.
• Undertake studies on Identification and analysis of  business community needs
• Policy Dialogues on sector specific issues as well as on reducing compliance costs for SMEs
• Organise press conferences on the matters relevant to the Quality tests/conformity assessments
•       To arrange awareness, workshops and meetings.
